What Jeff stands for

Jeff is committed to ensuring that Hampstead continues to be run in a way that makes residents feel confident their elected officials care about them and their hard-earned tax dollars. This means:

Taxes

Keeping Hampstead residents’ taxes as low as possible while maintaining the high-quality services we have all come to expect.

Town Finances

Managing town finances with great care, scrutinizing expenditures to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.

Transparency

Promoting maximum transparency in municipal operations to ensure strong, accountable governance.

Public Safety

Making public safety a top priority, with efforts to deter break-ins, package theft, and other criminal activity.

Garbage Collection & Snow Removal

Maintaining top-quality garbage collection and snow removal services so that Hampstead remains safe, clean, and accessible year-round.

Infrastructure Projects

Ensuring infrastructure projects, especially road repairs, are completed on time and on budget.

Community Initiatives

Supporting and expanding social services, sports programs, camps, dog facilities, and other community initiatives to meet the needs of Hampstead’s growing and younger population.

About Jeffrey Budning

Jeff Budning has deep roots in Hampstead.

In 1960, Jeff’s parents built a home on a newly excavated part of Hampstead. Jeff grew up biking through the town, attending Hampstead Day School, and playing almost daily on the Hampstead tennis courts...

After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Jeff pursued the CPA program at McGill, later serving as CFO of Silver Star Mercedes-Benz and ultimately an owner. He has served as a board member for Elm Ridge Country Club and remains closely connected with his family...

Inspired by his son Warren’s 12 years as a city councillor, Jeff is ready to give back, bringing decades of financial and leadership experience to serve Hampstead residents.
